Power Washing

Our power washing has a distinct advantage over the service most other companies offer. We use HOT WATER. When you have oily, dirt-caked, graffiti scrawled surfaces; you can see immediately why hot water is superior. If you have stucco or other breakable exterior material, you want hot water because it allows us to use a softer pressurized spray that protects the surface while effectively removing grime.

You may also have heard our service referred to as “pressure washing”. Water under pressure literally disconnects the molecular bond between dirt and a surface. Dirt molecules wash off, while surface paint, logos and lettering are left intact, and much cleaner. It is completely safe. Hot water adds to the safety, because we are able to use less pressure than cold water services have to use to try to get similar results (and most often they can’t). Paint will come off only if that’s the job: to remove old paint as preparation for repainting.

Sometimes, detergents are used. Hot water is the primary cleaning advantage but we will also employ special detergents to loosen dirt, stains, mold and mildew. It can cut the time power washing takes to do your cleaning job. Some solutions can be sprayed directly on the surface for a pre-soak that can give power washing peak effectiveness. These pre-treatments of the dirt are left on the surface for at least ten minutes to allow the soap to do the job for which it is intended. There are different detergents for different surfaces, and you know they are safe to be around because our crews use them daily.

The pressure generated can be up to 4,000 pounds per square inch and water temperatures can hit 200 degrees. It’s simply not for amateurs, no matter how well-intentioned and experienced your staff. It requires just the right mix of pressure, temperature and spray technique to protect surfaces and get them truly clean.
